Students will be asked to choose ONE stakeholder group involved in the drugs field (eg. GPs,psychiatrists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, drugs workers, probation officers, customs and excise officers, police officers, prison officers, policy makers or consumers/users). Discuss the role they play in drugs control, how they work in partnership with other stakeholder groups and the challenges they face under the current policy and practice framework (ie. 2021 drug strategy (HM Government, 2021) and equivalent documents) Introduction to chosen stakeholder group: What do they do in relation to drugs? What is their background (ie training, education, etc) What role do they play in drugs policy? What is their role in the current 2021 drug strategy? Has their role changed under the strategy? How? How do they work in partnership with other stakeholder groups? Any conflicts? What challenges do they face under the current policy and practice framework? (ie. 2021 drug strategy)
