Newly qualified radiographers face significant challenges when they move to work despite having practiced clinical training during their undergraduate studies. Clinical education provides a complete experience for students to apply and develop their knowledge and skills acquired during theoretical education, but newly qualified radiologists often experience challenges during the transition. This is due to work environments, which can limit professional growth, leading to frustration and thus poor performance in the workplace. The anxiety, frustration, or energy drain that a newly qualified radiographer experiences may limit his or her ability to continue or limit his or her technical performance, attitudes, beliefs, and work ethic. This study explores the expectations and experiences of newly qualified diagnostic radiographers as they transition into practice and why they change their beliefs ethics and attitude.
