On the week 4 discussion board, after studying the course materials, discuss and share information with your classmates about what a wbs is, the purpose of a wbs, and how to construct a wbs.

Situation:
After completing the narrative description of the work to be accomplished in the Scope Statement, some of the members of your project team began to argue about the terminology that should be used in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Gina believed firmly the objective of the project was the relocation of the office operations, and view as level 0 of the WBS. She argued the next level down, level 1, should be deliverables with lower levels identified as work packages, and then the tasks under the work packages. Reth, on the other hand, believed the only single deliverable was the office operations relocation at level 0, and level 1 should be work packages with summary tasks and work unit tasks under the work packages at lower levels.
Assignment:
On the Week 4 discussion board, after studying the course materials, discuss and share information with your classmates about what a WBS is, the purpose of a WBS, and how to construct a WBS. Include in your discussion whether you consider Gina’s approach or Reth’s approach to be more appropriate for this project. Under what circumstance would the approach you did not choose be more appropriate? How does the terminology used matter?
